Navkar is a daily Jain devotional companion app, owned and operated by Atlas Ventures ("we", "our", "the app"). We treat your data the way we treat scripture — with respect and minimal handling.

What we collect

When you sign in with WhatsApp OTP, we receive:

• Your WhatsApp phone number, used to send a one-time verification code.
• The name you enter on the sign-up screen, so we can address you by name.
• A timestamp of when your account was created.

Inside the app, we store on your device only:

• Your in-app preferences (chosen reminder time, language, mantra speed).
• Your reading history and favourited stories.

When you chat with the Guru:

• Your messages are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for the duration of a single response, and not retained by us after the response is generated.

We do not collect:

• Your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or any device sensors.
• Any browsing or app-usage data outside of Navkar itself.
• Payment information (Navkar is free).

How we use your information

• Phone and name: to identify you in the app and address you by name.
• Preferences: to deliver your daily reminder and tailor the experience.
• Chat messages: to generate a single response from the Guru, then discarded.
